Bahar Ayasli is a Turkish American born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from Lexington High School as a National Honors Society scholar, she attended Bentley University from 2005-2009. While studying at Bentley she joined Alpha Phi International Women’s Fraternity, Zeta Rho Chapter, and held several positions within the organization.
During the summer of 2006 Bahar studied at Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland in order to travel abroad and at the same time take classes in Russian Literature, World History, and Graphic Design. In the summer of 2008, Bahar received credit from Harvard University for her coursework in Political Philosophies and South Eastern Religions.
By the time Bahar graduated, she had received a degree in Information Design and Corporate Communication, and had fulfilled roles in Alpha Phi such as Greek Council Delegate, Director of Alumni Relations, Recruitment Counselor, and Director of New Member Education. Upon finishing her undergraduate degree, Bahar then traveled to Istanbul, Turkey where she enrolled in Boğazici University’s Turkish Immersion Program, in order to study the Turkish language further. After completing Boğazici’s program, she then began working as a public relation’s intern at Armaggan, a high-end design brand that produces hand crafted artisic objects, leather goods, textiles and jewerly. During this time she participated in the 100% Design Tokyo trade show.
Bahar also became involved in Armaggan’s sister company, Nar Gourmet, a purveyor of all natural and organic food products from Turkey. Bahar became Nar's International Marketing Associate and focused on the Nar’s participation in several food trade shows, such as the NASFT’s summer and winter Fancy Food Shows, and the SIAL Middle East.
In the fall of 2011, Bahar began her Master’s at Kingston Unversity, situated in the United Kingdom. Bahar graduated from her Master’s in Marketing Communications and Advertising with a commendation in January 2013, and completed her dissertation on the Impact Pinterest has on the Previously Established Drivers and Barriers of Online Shopping.
After graduating from her master's Bahar gained work experience at the London offices of PRCo International, a leading luxury travel PR consultancy. From London Bahar moved to New York City in order to begin working at PRCo's US office.
